Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in art class in middle school when we were both 12 and I was laughing at the nude sculptures with her and kept trying to turn the pages in the book to view them and she was getting annoyed with me. We began dating around 5 years later after an awesome friendship that resulted in us going to a dance together and her coming to my track meets and wear my sweatshirt. After 4 years of long distance in college, many military moves & deployments, we still laugh with each other every day.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is during our honeymoon in Kumarakom in India. It was three days of magic and really enjoying each other's company with the best food, water activities, weather, and sunsets you could ask for. It is collectively our happy place. During our honeymoon, we jumped into the meandering river pool at night and snuck around the whole resort since we believe it was closed at the time. It was a lot of quietly laughing at other resort-goers who we thought perceived us.

What would you do with $20,000?

First I would go to Target and have my wife go crazy. I would probably buy some golf stuff that I don't need. Realistically, we'd probably put it into our house and invest it. There are so many projects we talk about that we are slowly accomplishing but we would get a head start on them. We recently painted our house, and want to replace some carpet with hardwood. Mundane, I know, but truthfully I don't view it that way. When you're with the right person everything is exciting.
