Our values for adventure and conservation allow us to have a beautiful life together where we protect what we love and have fun doing so.
We would like to thank you for supporting Karli and Charles, the park rangers in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We both met working at National Park, I fell for him during an ATV training in the park. He said that my enthusiastic and exciting personality did not match my ATV driving skills in the park, (I was very careful and precise). After that, I wanted to spend time with him as much as possible, we would hike in the park after work, find time to go kayaking on the creek and would later on be on a wildland firefighter engine team.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our most recent memory of exploring Alaska together. It was our honeymoon trip and it was absolutely life changing. We had family at home taking care of the house and we were able to have a stress free, adventure with plenty of quality time. We don't have days off together so it was amazing to have that time to spend with each other in nature.
What would you do with $20,000?We would probably put it into our house. We are currently working on turning our outdoor shed into an art studio. We are also planning on adopting a child and we could definitely use that money to give them a comfortable and welcoming home.
