We met when Deric transferred to my (Kai) high-school. We were in two of the same classes and in one of the classes they had assigned seating. Deric was sat next to a good friend of mine so we started to include him in some of our conversations. Eventually we got his number and Instagram and me and him started texting and calling separately. I invited him to church and then a musical and then we started dating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?At the beginning of our relationship we went to see a solar eclipse. We went a couple hours out to a friend’s farm and we watched the eclipse out in a field. While we were waiting for the eclipse we were talking for hours. Even though we couldn’t actually see the eclipse due to clouds, I couldn’t be happier just being there with each other. That moment is when I knew we were soulmates.
What would you do with $20,000?Some of the money would go towards charities we believe in, a little would go towards college and textbooks, some towards family and the rest into saving for our future.
