Connect How did your love story begin?

We met while working together at Starbucks in Tennessee after I transferred stores for college. We hit it off right away and went on a “not-a-date” that neither of us realized was actually a date. A few days later, Adam invited me over and made homemade pasta, and the rest was history. Early on, we took time apart to grow individually and become better versions of ourselves. Finding our way back to each other only made us stronger, and we were married in October 2025.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

A recent memory that comes to mind happened on Adam’s birthday after I was released from the hospital in Seattle. With a renewed sense of hope about my health, we spent the day exploring downtown together, Adam on a Lime scooter and me on my wheelchair/scooter. We tried new foods, wandered the city, laughed nonstop, and celebrated not just his birthday, but the gift of being together. It perfectly captures who we are: finding joy, adventure, and gratitude no matter what life throws our way.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use it to create a little breathing room during a season of life filled with uncertainty. Between medical expenses and navigating major life changes, having that financial cushion would ease a lot of stress and allow us to focus on what matters most: spending quality time together, making memories, and continuing to build a life centered on love, resilience, and supporting each other through every challenge.
