We actually met while volunteering with elementary school kids at church. We also shared a friend group that got together on Tuesdays for dinner. Danielle would intentionally sit next to Justin to get to know him. Eventually, she worked up the courage to ask him out. That's right - she made the first move! We bonded over our love of music, good food and beer, shared values, and all things 90's pop culture.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When we got engaged to be married. It was a few weeks before Christmas. It was snowing and we went to pick out a Christmas tree. We brought it back to Justin's apartment to decorate. Danielle baked pies while Justin pulled childhood ornaments from a storage box. He explained the stories and background behind each ornament as he went. Then, he pulled a Santa ornament that opened to reveal an engagement ring and said "and this one will be the story of how we got engaged to be married!"
What would you do with $20,000?Our 10 year wedding anniversary is this upcoming October. Since we got married, we've always said we'd renew our vows at 10 years, in Las Vegas, officiated by an Elvis Impersonator, surrounded by our closest friends and family. We're laser focused on paying down some debts right now, so $20k would help make that a reality!
