How did your love story begin?

Preface: we had not known each other. My wife, Patricia taught at NLE (North Lauderdale Elementary) for 10 years before taking a leave in 1995 to run her own preschool. I was hired in 1999 @ NLE, and taught there for a year before Patricia sold her preschool. It’s EXTREMELY rare for a teacher to be rehired at a school they left from. We met the first time in a fellow teachers classroom. I was immediately stunned by her personality,humor, andbeauty. Our relationship built the next year. Continued

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

She had 2 kids, I fell in love with them immediately..I am 11 years younger than her, but the age difference never mattered. We have been married 23 years now with 3 kids and 2 grandkids. My favorite memory is the first day I saw her, and everyday we spend with our family. I hope my favorite memory hasn’t been made yet. We are both about to retire together in July. I’ll be 50, she’ll be 61. We can’t wait to enjoy the later part of our life together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Absolutely travel with our kids/ grandkids. We’re in Florida, so we were planning to rent a Winnebago and all take a trip together across the country to see the National Parks.
