Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story doesn’t really have a true starting point. We began as friends that just got to know each other better and better over a period of several years. We think our relationship is so solid because we started off with a really strong foundation of really learning about each other without judgement and building a deep friendship before eventually realizing that we were falling for each other. No false impressions, no unrealistic expectations. We just fit.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many great memories. Including such simple ones as doing yard projects together. But one of our favorites is our first road trip together. It was shortly after we decided to make it official and we took a trip up to Houston, Texas from our small town on the border. It was a six hour drive and we just talked and laughed the whole time. That drive made us realize that even the most mundane tasks were made better with each other and that’s how we wanted to live our lives.

What would you do with $20,000?

Well, we just got engaged! On June 20th, he popped the question. Even though we’d talked about getting married, and we knew we were eventually going to, the timing was a big surprise. $20,000 would certainly help with the wedding of our dreams. We’re not in a hurry. Whether it happens this year, or 5 years down the line, we know we’re in it for the long haul. However, with finances being a major factor in needing to wait, the $20k would definitely accelerate our timeline!
