Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story started during the height of COVID. Jonne was a music student from Sweden studying in Los Angeles, and Sylvie had returned home to LA after living in London for university. We matched on Tinder and talked every day for two weeks before meeting for our first date overlooking the city. From that moment, we knew there was something special between us. After long distance, visas, and years of uncertainty, we're finally building the life we fought so hard for together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many but definitely one of our favorite memories was the day Jonne received his green card. After years of long distance, uncertainty, and hoping we'd be able to build a life together in the U.S., everything came down to that moment. When he walked out with the approval, we both burst into tears, laughing and hugging each other because it meant we could finally stop waiting and start our future together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning $20,000 would bring us one step closer to our biggest dream: a home of our own. As musicians, we’ve spent years creating wherever we could, and as 28-year-olds, we’ve only ever been able to afford one-bedroom apartments, but we’d love a space where we can raise a family and build a small studio for ourselves and other artists. We want our home to be a place filled with music, creativity, and community. A real safe haven for the people we love.
