Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in high school back in 1980, and from the moment we met, our story began. For Johnny, it was instant—he knew right away that Desiree was the one. Desiree wasn't quite so sure at first and needed a little wooing, but Johnny was determined to win her heart. With patience, love, and persistence, Johnny pursued the woman he believed God had chosen for him. Before long, he put a ring on Desiree's finger making a promise that would last a lifetime.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is spending time together at the river in our hometown. We'd sit beneath the old bridge, enjoy the cool water, laugh, talk, and simply cherish each other's company. Those quiet moments created memories that have stayed with us throughout the years. It wasn't about where we were—it was about being together, building a love and friendship that would last a lifetime.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning the $20,000 would allow us to make some much-needed improvements around our home and create an even more comfortable place to enjoy together. It would also give us the opportunity to take a special trip to a peaceful destination where we could reconnect, celebrate our journey, and reaffirm our love for one another. We both love the beach, so spending time by the ocean, making new memories together, would be a dream come true.
