Maria and I grew up just blocks from eachother in a neighborhood in Boston Mass. I met her when she was 16. I knew I would marry her.
We would like to thank you for supporting john& Maria Dyson in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I was 17 working in a grocery store. She would go shopping with her mom. I always watched in anticipation for her and her mom, and when I saw them , I would immediately say hello and tell them if they couldn't find something to come to me. Her daughter Maria was so beautiful to me. She had an amazing warm loving smile. Well I was determined to to marry her. Later in August, my brother invited her and a number of other neighborhood teens to his birthday party. First time we talked alone. Amazing
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first Christmas together in our new, run down home we purchased in 1999. That Christmas as our young son Joshua opened his presents, my wife read a letter to him that Santa had left for him. As she was reading it a large deer with antlers was munching on our evergreens outside our bay window. So my wife said P.S. keep an eye out for Blitzen, he ran off again. My son was amazed!
What would you do with $20,000?My wife Maria has always wanted to go to Italy with me to visit all her relatives , but raising a family with our two boys always took priority financially and time wise. Now at this juncture in our lives, both being retired, our finances wouldn't allow it.
