Connect How did your love story begin?

It started in 2015 when we were paired together for a 4-hour acoustic show on the 2nd floor of Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Broadway in Nashville, TN. After initially bonding over our live for Fireball at the time, we ended up spending the rest of the day together going HonkyTonk hoppin’ on Lower Broadway where we eventually ended up in a karaoke bar above where Alan Jackson’s bar is now. We shut the place down, shared our first kiss, and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We’ve had too many to really choose just one but if we had to, it’d probably either be when we were an act on Carnival Cruise Lines and found out one week into our contract that Jess was pregnant with our first child, Owen. We finished out the 3-month contract and all of our first baby appointments were actually in Cozumel, Mexico when we would dock there!

What would you do with $20,000?

We have always wanted to get out of the suburbs and get out on a piece of land where our kids can grow in nature and be away from the busier life of living in town. A homestead, if you will. Would also love to grow our company called Made New where Jess takes old quilts and turns them into jackets, bags, guitar and purse straps, etc., and we’d love to continue to see that flourish. We’ve been lucky enough to get jackets and guitar straps on Hannah Harper, Emily Ann Roberts, Dolly Parton, etc!
