We met over the phone (him: Fort Riley; me: Dallas). We laugh, dance in the kitchen and make each other laugh. He’s my best friend, my hero.

Our love story literally started with a “hello”. We never met in person, but our phone calls made up for that. When I heard his voice, I would smile like I had never smiled before. John told me “I love you” first and I knew he was the one. After many said we wouldn’t last, and through deployments, training missions, and fire calls, we are still going strong. We are each other’s biggest fan. I almost lost him in March to a heart attack. I’m grateful we can still dance, laugh and be together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have several memories, but the one that comes to mind is us spending time in Europe (stationed in Germany) growing together and building our relationship. Seeing Paris with the love of your life is something incredible. Another memory, is when he came home from his first deployment to Iraq. Holding each other again, was like our first hug when he came to TX to get me. I love this man with all my heart. Our love story should be a Hallmark movie 🤭🤭.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put some towards our bills, help our daughter with college and take a very long needed family vacation to the places we only dream about going. I would like for us to put some into fixing our house, then redo our wedding photos Texas style.
