Connect How did your love story begin?

We met through a dating app with no expectations of a relationship being possible since John lived on the other side of the country and was only in town visiting. But after a few initial dates, a trip to Mexico, and a normal week visit back where Nicole lived, we fell in love. The complicated part was, John was still in a broken marriage that Nicole had no idea about. John had to figure his life out in order to be with Nicole, and Nicole had to decide if true love was worth it.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We were lying in bed a few months after we moved in together and were playing a number guessing game like we were at a sleepover. Nicole had a number in her head between 1-10 and John had guessed it correctly both times. To up the stakes for round 3, John had to guess Nicole’s number from 1-any number. John guessed 37 and Nicole freaked out. Her number was 37. And from that day, it became our lucky number as a couple and we see it everywhere as synchronicities.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would put it towards creating an event to help people better their own relationships. We already have a podcast dedicated to that, so it would be nice to be able to work directly with people who watch our podcast or just anyone looking to take their own imperfect relationship and make it better than perfect.
