Maryam and I met at work. I managed a research lab and she was our safety inspector that I had to meet with monthly. Every single month that we met, I would consistently talk about her. Eventually, on my birthday, I asked her out for coffee. After eight coffee dates at work, I wasn't sure she knew that I was trying to date her. So, I asked her if she knew I was trying to date her romantically. She laughed and said "yes". We then went on a real date and got tacos.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?John - As a veteran who joined after 9/11, I have wanted to visit the 9/11 memorial in NYC. One year, for my birthday and veterans day, Maryam took me on a trip to NYC to finally visit the memorial and experience NYC as a whole. This was a very sweet and thoughtful gift. Maryam - A new donut shop opened up on Boston (Blackbird donuts) and we just really wanted to try it. So, we went there one day and bought one of every donut. They posted us on their IG after this. I love the spontaneity.
What would you do with $20,000?Maryam and I would like to get the rest of our life started. We moved in together this past year and we're trying to get our home setup. We would also go on a long overdue vacation to Europe.
