How did your love story begin?

When I was sixteen years old, I met a quiet young man named John. Neither of us had much to offer except young hearts, big dreams, and a hope that somehow we could build a better life together. We never imagined that nearly fifty years later we'd still be walking side by side. We married on January 29, 1977, when I was just seventeen years old. What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories isn't just one day—it's realizing we've made it through nearly 50 years together. Looking at each other today and remembering two teenagers who fell in love in 1976, we marvel at all we've overcome. Addiction, loss, laughter, healing, grandchildren, and God's grace have woven together a story neither of us could have imagined.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning $20,000 would be life-changing for us. We would pay down debt, make needed repairs, and set aside some savings for the future. As a pastor and children's author, I would also invest in publishing my Every Heart books so they can encourage children with messages of kindness, belonging, and hope. It would allow us to bless our family while continuing to serve our community and share God's love in practical ways.
