Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a local grocery store where we both worked as teenagers. She asked me out and we went to the movies not knowing what movies were playing. The only thing on at that time was Bride of Chucky. After that she was in a bad home situation with her mom (drugs and alcohol) so we got married so she didn't have to live there. We were young and didn't know what love truly was but we grew up together and became as one. She is my cheerleader and supporter. I am her calmness in her storm.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Besides our two daughters. We renewed our vows at year 15. Since we got married so young at the courthouse. Her father never got to walk her down the aisle. He was able to do so here. She lost her father a few years later. I had set up a scavenger hunt for her that day. She went to 12 places that meant something to us. First date, favorite restaurant.... she received a rose at each place. With a rose necklace and earring she walked down the aisle with 15 roses.

What would you do with $20,000?

She has a degenerative eye disease that is expensive to fight to keep here eye sight. We will eventually lose the fight and she will be blind but we are hopeful that she can hold on to her sight long enough to see our daughters marry and have kids. This will help with medical bills.
