Joe and I met on an online dating site. We both noted that we had lost our spouses, which is rare to see. I reached out to him first because of his nice smile. He messaged me back and we commiserated about how people treated us like we were broken and unlovable. We didn't date right away, as I went on a date with someone before he messaged me. We agreed to be friends. When the guy I was seeing broke it off, I messaged Joe that same day. He asked if he could call me and he asked me out.

We are very happy just doing ordinary things together, but I always dreamed of going on a trip to Paris. Joe made that dream possible and we took a river cruise from Paris to Normandy and back. It was a special trip for so many reasons (not enough characters allowed to explain). We both loved the day that we visited Monet's home and gardens. We have a wall in our home with photos that remind us of the highlights of our trip. Doing that with Joe made it the most special trip I ever had.

Joe has always dreamed of going on a trip to Japan. We both love Japanese culture for different reasons, and we even have a Japanese themed room in our home. Joe is an amazing husband and deserves to have a special trip like that, so I hope we win so I can make his dream come true. If there is money left over, we would likely do some home repairs that we are currently saving for.
