How did your love story begin?

Jo and Ana met at their workplace, a school for kiddos on the spectrum or with additional support needs. Jo didn’t recognize Ana after the first few times they met as she had shaved her head - but eventually he realized that the blonde, green haired, and bald cutie were all, in fact, the same cutie. After a very flirty Halloween they became inseparable - Jo flew to Canada a few months in to meet Ana’s family, and they moved in together a few months after that. And the rest is ….

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Two answers for this one! For Jo - The flight when they moved to New York. Exhausted but excited on a red eye, the doped-up kitty, Beastie, in a carrier at their feet purring through the flight. For Ana - When they both hurt fingers on the same day. His was minor, Ana almost cut her finger in half! They rushed to the first aid kit, joking “what is the urgent care downstairs going to say!?”. Jo could only find teeny tinny bandaids, each one smaller. This is the hardest Ana has ever laughed.

What would you do with $20,000?

Recently, the couple celebrated an “early wedding/engagement reception” with the brides family in Canada. Her Grandmother won’t be able to travel for the wedding next year. There is a lot of pain that comes with long distance family, any love at a distance is hard. The $20,000 would help to secure flights and travel for people who cannot do so themselves and to find a venue in Los Angeles for a wedding next year that would also provide accommodations. We just want everyone to be together!
