On May 31,1977, I met the love of my life, Jerry at Six Flags over Texas in Arlington, Texas. I was 14 and he was 15. Our long distance romance began for the next 5 years as he lived in Garland and I lived in Cedar Hill. Our dads would take turns driving us with friends to the local mall where we would spend the day shopping, eating pizza, watching movies, and playing arcade games. When he turned 16, we continued to date throughout high school. 5 years later on July 31, 1982, we married.

In 2019, Jerry was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was given radiation for his treatment and had an adverse reaction. He had severe radiation burn that caused him to lose a lot of needed internal organs. He was in and out of the hospital for almost four years. Both of our schools rallied around us, our neighbors, and our 2 sons supported us and gave us hope. Jerry and I have since officially retired. We have now moved close to the beach and are so thankful for God's blessings.

We would help our two sons with any financial needs they have and make any needed repairs to our home or vehicles. Anything left, I would like to donate to our community food bank in our little town of Danbury, Texas. We have moved to an amazing community in Brazoria County in Texas. There are many people around us that need help with food, clothing, and transportation. I work part time at our community library and know of so many families in our town that have so many needs.
