I met my wife at a bank while working patrol as a Cop. I asked for her number. She gave it to me on April Fools' Day—and when it didn't work, I was convinced I'd just become the punchline of the joke. Turns out she accidentally gave me the wrong last digit. Thankfully, God wasn't joking. The nurse who stole my heart became my wife, my best friend, and the greatest blessing of my life.

My favorite memory will always be watching my bride walk down the aisle singing to me. Surrounded by family, friends, and my fellow firefighters, I stood there completely caught off guard. The tough firefighter in me didn't stand a chance—I cried tears of joy the entire way down the aisle. In that moment, I knew God had given me far more than I ever deserved. It was the most beautiful surprise of my life.

If I were blessed with $20,000, I wouldn't spend it on anything extravagant. Like many firefighters, I've worked multiple jobs and spent countless hours away from my family just to make ends meet. I would use it to pay off the debts we've carried, ease the financial burden on my family, and start setting money aside for my sons' college and future. It wouldn't just change our finances—it would give us peace of mind and more time together as a family.
