How did your love story begin?

We met on the FB dating app. I was newly divorcing and she was divorced. I had been on two horrible dates and was stood up once. I had Covid (unbeknownst to my doctors) in Dec 2019. In March 2020, I gave blood and was told I had the antibodies. I did not need the vaccine. After my first date, the girl told me I should tell ppl I’m unvaxxed. I went on FB and stated that in my profile. My wife was the same and she stated she was a veteran looking for a veteran. She is Air Force and I am Army/Navy.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We met in the parking lot of the restaurant for our first date. As we walked across the parking lot, she grabbed my hand. There was actual electricity in that hand hold. We were at a hibachi restaurant and Travis Tritt sat at our table. Afterward, we got a pic of us with him and also a pic of our first kiss. For our first anniversary I had t-shirts made in the style of a concert shirt with our TT pic and restaurants and places we visited on the back.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would take a well deserved vacation (by ourselves) and get childcare for our blended family (10 yr old girl, 16 yr old boy, 18 yr old (special needs) boy, 21 yr old boy, and 29 yr old girl). We have been through my mom’s death, many of her friend’s death, the anniversary of her daughter’s death, job losses, and now starting a business. We deserve some “peace and quiet”.
