Our love story began in February 2000. I ran a Surviving Divorce & Single Parenting group. Jeff came to one of our outings as he was currently going through a divorce also. From the first night we met, I knew there was something special about him. We danced the night away and continued to date. Even though I was a divorced single mom of three children, he jumped in head first with no hesitation. My youngest son’s father was killed and Jeff adopted him.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Besides our wedding day, I’d have to say all the fundraising bike rides we have taken to benefit Autism, Cancer & Burn victims. When we are helping people that’s where our hearts are. When I see him hand a homeless person money for a meal, my heart just melts and I love him even more!
What would you do with $20,000?We would use $9,000 of it to pay off our house and the rest to take a honeymoon or a wonderful trip as we were never able to take one because his Dad passed away 2 days before our wedding. We had his funeral to attend a day or two after our wedding. We still hope to take a honeymoon some day!
