A childhood crush, decades of parallel paths, and a love that proved some stories are meant to come full circle

Jayson and I first met as fifth graders in 1986, and I even wrote about him in my diary after meeting him on the playground. His family moved away the following year, but throughout our lives our paths kept running parallel. We later discovered we had even lived on the same street without knowing it. Decades later, we reconnected, and what began as a childhood crush became a lasting love story. Sometimes the timing really is everything.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple is a whirlwind weekend trip to New York City in 2025. We packed as much as possible into a few short days, exploring the city together and making memories at every turn. Even though we didn’t see everything NYC has to offer, we still talk about that trip with awe. It wasn’t about the sights we missed—it was about experiencing the adventure side by side and creating memories we’ll cherish forever
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d save most of it to help build a secure future together. We’d also set aside a portion for a getaway, giving us time to reconnect, make new memories, and focus on what matters most—our relationship. The greatest investment we can make is in our future and in each other
