How did your love story begin?

Our story begins at Starbucks. Really with two mutual friends who insisted we meet. Neither of us were really interested in dating at the time, so we both agreed to just meet for a coffee instead of committing to an entire date. We hit it off immediately. We turned a coffee at 5pm into a date that lasted until 2am. In separate cars, we went to a movie, walked around a 24 hour large box store, then ended up at a 24 hour diner before parting ways. He called the next day for another date.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Besides the birth of our children, our favorite memory was one night at a large theme park when our kids were 5 and 8 (they are 13 and 15 now). It was right before the fireworks show and a staff member gave them each a "magic wand" and they got to "start" the fireworks show. It was the most adorable thing ever to see their faces light up as they waved their wands.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use this money to send both of our kids to London to march in the New Year's Day parade in 2029. Their high school band makes this trip every four years and this will be the only opportunity for both kids to go as they will be a freshman and junior that year. My husband and I would love to go with them as we have never traveled internationally, but we at least want to be able to provide this for our children and use remaining funds to pay off debt from home and car repairs.
