Our story began as 10th-grade high school sweethearts. We married young, with very little except love, family support, and a belief that we could build a life together. We waited six years to have children so we could grow close first, then raised two sons who are now 30 and 32. After 39 years of marriage, bumps, blessings, grandsons, twin granddaughters on the way, and even our son Dilons cardiac arrest and LVAD journey, our love and family are still our greatest purpose.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory goes back to the very beginning. We went to a huge high school, and Laura noticed me before we ever met. She even found a way to get my class schedule and ended up in one of my classes. Then, after I got into a small car crash in the school parking lot, she walked over and asked if she could help. That was her chance, and it became the start of us.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the $20,000 to invest in our family. Life in Southern California is not easy, and with one son raising what will soon be four children, and another son building his own life, we would love to use most of it to help our kids and grandkids. For us, the greatest reward has always been taking care of the people we love.
