Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in line at an Irish bar on St.Patrick’s Day 2022. Both of us aren’t big party people or drinkers but we both individually decided to go out with a friend for 1 drink planning to be home by 10pm. Those friends we went out with happened to be roommates. So when we all met up in front of the bar, it’s safe to say we were done for. We shook hands and proceeded to spend the rest of the night as close to each other as we could. We stayed out till the bar closed just to be with each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Probably our wedding day. We eloped just the two of us at San Francisco City Hall on St. Patrick’s Day 2025. The day was all about us, no stress, no being pulled in different direction. We were able to exchange vows on our own and then a second time in front of the court. We were so happy we forgot to kiss and just jumped up and down screaming for joy. We went back to the hotel, took a nap and then got sandwiches. It’s the best ‘secret’ just-for-us memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the money to put a down-payment on a house. As two creative entrepreneurs (Bailey owns a bookstore and James is a music producer) were not raking in the cash. We would love to own our home before starting a family but it seems less and less feasible as time continues on. Four+ years into our relationship we’re looking at the next chapter for us and this is it, a home and a family. We would love to start off this chapter on a good foot.
