We went against all odds. I was 17 he was 20 and we knew each other for 3 months before we wedded. Love is patient, love is kind.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met on a blind date through James’ sister. He actually kept blowing me off and his sister insisted that we meet. He finally agreed to go on the blind date. We had KFC at a local park he took me home. He went home telling his mom he was gonna marry me and I went to my brother’s thinking he’ll never call me back. He showed up every day after that.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? There’s so many good memories! From watching the sun rise on our wedding day to sharing an inhaler riding a bikes through the Dogwood Canyon Park. After 30 years of marriage and not riding bikes for years we thought it to be a good idea to ride bikes site seeing. Unbeknownst to us we were going all up hill through the canyon. We kept stopping and sharing an inhaler trying to catch our breaths. We made it about 2.5 miles and decided to turn back which was easier since it was all down hill.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take a trip to our roots. We would love to see Finland where James side is from and Scotland where my side is from.
