I saw him across a crowded cocktail bar and decided I had nothing to lose. I walked over, told him he was handsome, then later tracked him down on Facebook and asked him out. One brave compliment became a first date, a decade of love, two years of marriage, two chihuahuas, and a life together in Chicago.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory as a couple was sailing in Hawaii. We spent the afternoon out on the open ocean, surrounded by nothing but deep blue water and the sound of the waves. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, and for a little while it felt like time had completely stopped. We laughed, held each other, and watched the coastline drift by, realizing how lucky we were to share that moment together.
