Connect How did your love story begin?

On our first date it felt like we had known each other for years instead of seconds, like reconnecting with an old friend after a long time apart. At the end of the date, Jacque was so certain she had just met the one that when she got home she wrote John a letter to read on their wedding day (which he did). Our love story blossomed from hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and the realization that we'd found not only the love of our lives, but our best friend.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s hard to pick a favorite - but our Disneyland trip is near the top. We found a photographer willing to take our pictures for the cost of admission so we could get Disney engagement photos. Late that night, we noticed an empty area next to small world and started playing around when “Beauty & The Beast” started playing. John swept Jacque into his arms to slow dance and for a moment there was no one else in the world but each other and the music. It felt like the world had stopped just for us.

What would you do with $20,000?

We just had our first baby boy in May (2026) ! Accordingly, we would love to set aside a little to take our first vacation as a family of three. We hold a special place in our hearts for all things Disney and all things Cruising, so if we could share that with him, it would be a dream. Then we would use the rest to make a dent in our student loans.
