Met in 1975… love at first sight! Married in 1977, started a family in 1978. Worked together to retirement in 2019. Still “in love“ today!

I worked at a motel unknowingly with his sister. One day she just sent him to my house, with his brother in-law, so he could introduce himself. I was painfully backward and I politely ran him off in fear my dad would not understand. Next day he followed me to the produce market down the street and reintroduced himself with an apology for the day before.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?All the back breaking and creative work we came up with and went through together just so we could be together.He was from out of state, reinstating his work license as a heavy equipment operator, though no such work like that was in our area. I quit my job to help my mom who suffered a heart attack before Jack and I lived together. When we got married three years after meeting, we had a 10.00 wedding at my folks house (amount we paid the preacher ) … and to this day we’ve had no honeymoon.
What would you do with $20,000?Take that honeymoon of course! Afterwords we’ d celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary come May 31, 2027 with our two kids and granddaughter as well! And then we’ cover some everyday expenses with what’s left.
