Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in 1991. At the time, I actually had a crush on his best friend, John. But my older sister beat me to it and asked him out first! John then suggested the four of us go on a double date—him, my sister, me, and his friend Justin. We did, and we went on a few more dates after that, but we didn’t feel a real connection until a year later. Out of the blue, we reconnected, and this time the timing was perfect. We quickly got engaged and were married less than a year later.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We both love the Foo Fighters and have seen them in concert 11 times. Every show holds its own special memories! From massive stadiums to their intimate Sonic Highways small-venue tour, and the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Show in Los Angeles, each concert has been incredibly meaningful to us.

What would you do with $20,000?

Well….he says get a new roof, I say travel! Last summer we flew into Vegas and drove to the Grand Canyon and traveled part of the way on Route 66 which was a dream come true! The Grand Canyon was a breathtaking experience for both of us. So many emotions and we plan to return as soon as possible. So maybe we compromise — patch the roof and book the flights!
