We randomly met in ocean beach, CA. I (Ian) was sitting in a bar having a drink with a friend when I looked over and was blown away by the girl walking up the stairs into the place. I told my buddy that I had to talk to her and asked him to wing man for me. Apparently she had the same conversation with her friend as well. She walked up, leaned up against the bar, and I reached over and tapped her on the shoulder and told her how beautiful she is and the rest is history!

The day we told each other we loved each other! We were having a dinner date 6 months into our relationship and a few weeks prior ian accidentally let it slip and panicked not knowing fully where Natalia stood. Ian was sitting across the table laughing in conversation and naturally said “because I love you”. In a moment of tense emotion we looked at eachother, ian worried what she would say, and she responded with a bright smile and an “I love you too”. We love this for our best personal memory.

We’re having a wedding in 2027 and would put it towards our honeymoon and a house. We also support local sustainability efforts to clean San Diego’s beaches and better the local marine ecosystem and would look to allocate funds to some of those efforts.
