How did your love story begin?

Our love song started by pure chance in 2008, while we were both traveling to Wisconsin for work. We crossed paths, started talking, shared drinks, and even played guitar together that first night. With 25 years between us & two countries separating us, the odds were stacked against us from the start. But one year later, Steph left Canada to be with Brian in Chicago. We’ve been writing our love song ever since—getting hitched by Elvis in Vegas and making music as Holler ‘n Honey.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is our Florida wedding later that year. We were already legally married by Elvis, but since our families couldn’t be there, this one meant even more. Steph didn’t have a work visa yet so money was tight, but we planned an amazing DIY wedding with homemade bouquets, and a self-mixed DJ playlist... 88 degrees but the dance floor was poppin’! Having our friends & family travel from both countries to celebrate with us made it an unforgettable memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won $20,000, we’d put it toward two things close to our hearts: dogs and music. Most would go to a small, local, foster-based dog rescue in Southwest Florida, where we now live, helping cover veterinary care, food, supplies, and safe temporary homes for dogs waiting to be adopted. We’d also put some aside for band equipment so we can keep doing what we love together: making music as Holler ‘n Honey. It feels like the perfect way to share the love and help rescue dogs in our community.
