Met at Hallmark Cards in '94, married in '96, & have a built a life of love, respect, laughter & adventure that could be a Hallmark movie!
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
We met in the summer of 1992 when Kim was an intern at Hallmark Cards headquarters. Both of us were in relationships, so it was just a cordial meeting between colleagues. Kim returned to Hallmark in 1993 in a permanent role. Our love story began in 1994 when a mutual friend reintroduced us. We had our 1st date Feb. 12th, which included dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Ironically, Kim's fortune cookie read, 'A happy romance for you shortly.' We still have it!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? After 30+ years of marriage, it's impossible to choose just one favorite memory. Becoming parents, adventurous vacations—from waterfall hikes and kayaking in Kauai to parasailing, jet-skiing, and whitewater rafting (especially funny since Kim can't swim!)—all stand out. Singing a church duet with the orchestra and serving other couples through marriage ministry are also memories we'll always cherish.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won the $20,000 prize, we would set some of it aside to add to the donations we provide annually to our favorite charities, and use the rest to celebrate Kim's upcoming milestone birthday doing what we love most--traveling together abroad, experiencing new cultures, and making memories that last a lifetime.
