Connect How did your love story begin?

In our sophomore year of high school, my Spanish teacher moved me to Henry’s table for a group project. Henry and I had been in the same classes since 5th grade, but never talked. Every day, I found myself looking forward to Spanish class so I could talk to Henry. He’d make me laugh the entire class. I realized I liked him, and we started texting in addition to having class together. We flirted a bit, then one day I invited him over to my house. He asked me to be his girlfriend that day!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is the day we got engaged. We spent all morning together, getting ready for a couples photoshoot. That morning was filled with so much happiness, even though I was oblivious to our later engagement. During the photoshoot, the photographer asked me to turn around and Henry was on one knee. We couldn’t stop smiling the ENTIRE day! We celebrated after with dinner, dessert, and calling all our loved ones. It was the perfect day.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’re currently planning our wedding and looking for our first home together. I’m still in college out of state full time, and Henry’s in the process of starting his career, so it’s been difficult to navigate all the upcoming big costs. We’re funding the wedding ourselves, so $20,000 would be the perfect amount to aid us with our wedding costs and initial costs towards our future home! Thank you so much for reading!
