It all started in 2021 when a friend and I drove through the Chick-fil-A drive thru and saw a man handing out meals. I immediately knew I wanted to get to know him more, so after a quick fight over who saw him first with my friend, I asked for his number once we got to the window! We talked for most of the night and a week later we went on our first date. Two weeks after that he asked me to be his girlfriend and 5 years later, he asked me to marry him!

My favorite memory we’ve shared together is the night of our engagement. I was conflicted on whether I wanted a photographer there because I wanted a private engagement but I was scared that I’d be so overwhelmed and wouldn’t remember some details of it. He ended up hiring a close friend’s mom to take the pictures, however when he got on one knee her camera went out due to the cold weather! That moment was completely between us and I find it beautiful that only he and I will ever fully see it.

My fiancé and I are just getting started in life. I just recently graduated in December of 2025 and started a job a few months ago so getting married and starting adulthood all at the same time has made it hard for us to get on our feet. We both still live with our parents and are doing our best to save for a place that we could move into by our wedding day. We would use the $20,000 to help us to save for a place and potentially even buy a home where we can truly start out or lives together!
