We were at a sweet 16th birthday party when we first met. We were both smitten, but nervous teens. He said he could tell I liked him by my big eyes and wide smile. I couldn’t tell until he asked for my Instagram. Fast forward to college, after 4 years of liking posts and nothing else, he posted an Instagram story of himself drumming, and I slid up and asked, “can you teach me how to play?” I was worried he wouldn’t respond, but lo and behold he did, and the rest is history.

Even though we are a young couple, we have been through a lot of life in our early 20s together. Grace has lost both her maternal grandparents while we have been together. I think being together during that time has allowed us to grow as a couple. That being said, one of our favorite memories was when Emmanuel was able to meet both of Grace’s grandparents at the beach they lived at. The love they showed him is something we will always cherish, and that beach is such a happy place for us.

$20,000 would truly be life-changing. We are newly engaged!! Both of us come from humble backgrounds, and would love to set aside some of this money towards a wedding. We would also put some in savings for our education; Emmanuel is hoping to get a masters in healthcare and Grace is hoping to advance her education in nursing. This money would alleviate stress as we plan our future together and help our dreams come true! P.S. Grace has not yet learned how to play drums.
