Connect How did your love story begin?

We matched through a dating app on Facebook. Stated he was within 100 miles. Alas, it was a lie. I was in a small town near Cleveland Ohio, and he a Detroit Michigan Boy. I was waitressing and singing in my band and he was a retired Detroit Detective, working as a Chef at 2 restaurants and a gun range when we started messaging. Took us several months to pay $30 so that we could talk and exchange numbers. We commuted for a little over five years. Then he moved to Ohio.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Realized we were in love in a corny John Hughes, John Cusack movie style. He was visiting during our nonprofits’s annual music festival. Getting dressed, & preparing for the separation, he said “I don’t know how we’re going to do it, but we are going to. I love you & I want to be with you & we will make it happen. I said I love you and I will come to you & you will come to me until we are in one place together.” Exchanged our rings that surprisingly fit each others fingers!

What would you do with $20,000?

Even if we say we’re gonna focus on us… We will still end up getting needed items for our nonprofit kids unified rock studio,. Then pay off some of our debt, help out family where we could, & hopefully put some away for the grandbabies.
