I was a travel nurse with a profile on eHarmony to meet interesting people in the various states/cities I worked in. My one rule was never respond to profiles without a picture. Gene’s profile came up one day. No picture. Something about it made me read what he wrote. It captivated me. I wrote back. We met for drinks, agreed to stay for dinner and talked for hours. The connection was immediate. While I definitely wasn’t looking for anything permanent, Gene and I became close easily.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?That has to be when we cruised through the Panama Canal. Fifteen days visiting ten countries. Met many wonderful people. We love to travel and hear the stories of people we meet. The world is full of fascinating people.
What would you do with $20,000?I have been diagnosed with MSA (multisystem atrophy), which has a prognosis of 4-7 years. We would take a “bucket list” trip together then make a digital photo album so Gene would have those fun memories. He is the love of my life, a delight to everyone who knows him, and the kind of partner most people only dream of. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to share our story ♥️.
