Connect How did your love story begin?

I moved to PA for a job, not expecting much but wanting to try out a new place. We met at that job on night shift and over after shift breakfast he challenged my book knowledge. I passed and the rest is history. We haven't stopped talking since that morning, what he didnt know for years was that I invited the whole shift out for breakfast, because I was too nervous to ask just him. I knew he was going to matter the moment I saw him.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

COVID. It was such a lonely time but having each other, we found pockets of fun. We spent so much time together and it only made us stronger. We shared history, talked of the future, laughed a lot. Found joy in simple things like delivering flowers to random strangers and nightly walks. We also got enaged and found out we were expecting our first baby! We fell in love by sharing books and talking about them over coffee, dancing in the kitchen and challenging each other on crosswords.

What would you do with $20,000?

Invest half of it to start building generational wealth for our kids and then take a fun family trip as well. We are blessed in this life but we both came out of the foster system and know what its like not to grow up easy, we want our kids to work hard but also have some room to breathe if they ever need it. Alyx would plan a big family trip to Disneyland, her favorite childhood memory, to take our kids as well. Give them some of the magic she loves so much.
