Our story began during Carnival in 2019 in Casablanca. It was our last night there, and our plans changed when the only bar in town was closed. My friend suggested we hang out with a group of guys they’d met playing beach volleyball that morning. I was hesitant because I’d never met them, but I said yes. We stayed up talking, laughing, and watching the sunrise together. Soon after, Nico asked me on our first date, and what began as a chance encounter became the greatest love story of our lives.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories is spending a weekend at Nico’s cabin in the mountains. With no Wi-Fi or phone signal, the world seemed to disappear. We spent hours by the fireplace under one blanket, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. It’s one of those quiet moments that has stayed with me ever since.
What would you do with $20,000?After six years together and four years of long distance between Miami and Quito, we are finally preparing to start our life together next year. We would use the $20,000 to help pay for our wedding in Quito, our move, and the first steps toward building our future home. More than anything, it would help us turn years of airport goodbyes, video calls, and long distance love into the life we’ve been working toward for so long.
