Our jobs send us from warzones to political crises, but we have created a home and family that serves as a foundation for love and support.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
The short story is that we met online, but we actually had several run-ins leading up to that moment. Our moms were sorority sisters at the University of Texas. Our families crossed paths while we were kids on vacation and we both once attended the same bat mitzvah. We were both went to the same punk concert in college (where Evan happened to spy a certain cute girl trying to get on stage). It was Mintz-to-be!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?During COVID-19 we worked together on Melissa's first book. We had a regularly scheduled writing time each Friday night where Evan taught everything he knew as a writer and editor. By the end, Melissa didn't need any help bringing together her expertise into a single text designed to help parents and caregivers provide the support that kids need to survive and thrive after traumatic events.
What would you do with $20,000?Our kids always come first, so we're putting it in college savings. After we take a romantic trip together, of course, to go horseback riding outside Santa Fe.
