We met at a local fair one Saturday in April 1991 through mutual friends, the next day he asked me to be his girlfriend. In June 1991, he asked me to marry him, and on July 5, 1991 we got married by a justice of the peace, 3 months after we met! He was 20 and I was 23. We are very supportive of each other’s careers (which we accomplished later in our marriage). After 35 years we still hold hands when we go out and about. Yes, we are still madly in love. At our age love is even more amazing!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of the biggest things is that we love to spend time in the kitchen together, we prepare small snacks and even very elaborate meals. Now that our children are grown we actually take time to travel. Even if it’s only for the weekend, we enjoy each other’s company and we have never gotten bored talking about everything and anything and wherever we go we eat where the locals eat because the local food is the best.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it to take a little trip and share some with our children and grandchildren. Also put a little to the side in our savings fund to help us with our next chapter.
