Everyone who meets Jacob leaves happier. He makes people feel seen and still greets me after work like I’ve been gone for weeks!! :-)
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
I first spotted Jacob sitting on a picnic table at our favorite hole-in-the-wall bar in Baton Rouge and thought, “He’s huge!” (6’5”, to be exact). Then I learned he was from Kentucky and couldn’t understand why he’d move to Louisiana. I decided to be bold and make the first move. He didn’t just become the love of my life - he made me realize that leaving Louisiana would also mean leaving behind lunch hour with family, lifelong friends, and the community that raised me! I'll always cherish that.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Having to choose just one memory is too hard! Meeting his family and going to Kentucky for the first time was so exciting. I fell in love with the Derby and knew I had to bring my family the next year. Sharing that experience with my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle made it even more special, something they had always dreamed of. Combining all my favorite people and moments is something I’ll never forget, especially the Oaks, Derby, and making my hats with vintage Kentucky stamps to match my dress!!
What would you do with $20,000?Well, Jacob had a great internship in college (he was smart and did this) and saved his money. Since then, he's put it in savings for a house. I would love to use this for my portion of the down payment or towards my student loans!
