Neither of us thought it would be possible to meet another person who shared our love of the arts, education, and faith...but with God...you know how it goes. We met on a cold November night at Lestat's Coffee Shop...that is, when Peter found the right one! We spoke about the cinema masterpiece that is Nacho Libre and how art has the ability to unlock any student. We shared our backgrounds in musical theater and the band space, and realized a common thread...a devotion to the creating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory to date, is the night we asked our dearest friends to be part of our bridal party. We surprised them at a local pizza shop with sweatshirts reading “The Wedding Band.” A band is a group of people who stand by and for each other when the going gets tough, and that’s what we want to be for our friends for the rest of our lives.
What would you do with $20,000?Should we win this life changing prize, we’d like to put it towards buying a home to start a family of our own. As teachers, we feel so much joy sharing all we have with our students. Together, we pray that we have the opportunity to love and guide babies of our own in a space that makes them feel safe.
