How did your love story begin?

We shared middle school and high school homeroom, yet rarely spoke. I remember walking to my locker and finding myself turning back to look at Elena, not knowing why. Years later, heartbroken from a failed relationship, I was working at Payless and attending college. While accompanying my aunt to apply for a teacher assistant job, I unexpectedly asked about openings after being told there were none. I was hired, and a week later, my co-worker introduced me to a special young lady—Elena.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

For our first date, I picked Elena up at her house after meeting her parents and relatives. I brought her a bouquet of flowers and promised to have her home by 9 p.m. We went to the movies, shared a cheeseburger special at Lucky Boy, and spent the evening at Golf N' Stuff in Downey. We talked about everything. When I dropped her off, she thanked me and said goodbye. There was no kiss, just a promise to see each other again. As I drove away, I thought, "This is the woman I will marry".

What would you do with $20,000?

If chosen as America's Favorite Couple, we would use the $20,000 prize to help purchase a reliable, fuel-efficient car for our youngest daughter as she continues her career and builds her future. We would also use a portion of the funds to help our parents with ongoing medical expenses. This blessing would provide peace of mind, support two generations of our family, and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
