Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at work, he was a chef and I was a server. When he was hired, I was out healing from a surgery. When I came back I wasn’t strong enough to run around the restaurant so they put me as the expo (right in front of the kitchen line) and that is how our connection began. We talked every shift about everything. A friendship grew. Although he always made sure I knew he “saw me”. I told him “I didn’t date people I worked with”.He smiled and said.. “Okay,”.. it’s now been a little over 11 years.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first real date was pretty special. We, had friends that joined us. We planned a night out at a local club in San Diego. I was so nervous and I wanted to look nice so me and my girls went shopping. I got a cute black dress. When we arrived and met at the club, Danny and I matched perfectly (like we planned it). We smiled, laughed and embraced the connection we had. That connection has been going strong ever since. it was a magical evening and we have been together ever since.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have had a lot of hits over the years.. financially and health wise. Because of this we haven’t gotten married yet or been able to save for a house. We have a big dream for our wedding and for our home. We know exactly what we want for both. So we would either pay down our debt so we can get money down on a home OR we would put it towards our wedding. Although we already feel married.. we aren’t.. and I can’t WAIT to call this man my husband and for him to call me his wife!
