Connect How did your love story begin?

We met when life least expected it. I was homeless with my then 12yr old son, as my husband was then restarting life from a horrible relationship. As a last ditch effort we both went on Facebook singles in a chat room. My son finally convinced me to take a chance to visit him and a 3 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive because my vehicle broke down. Don, now husband waited up all night as I drove to him. We hugged an had an instant connection. I never left & we got married 10/24/25. Soulmates

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first concert, was our first big date. He took me to the most amazing Sushi and Hibachi restaurant. Where he let me order anything I wanted. Then afterwards he took me to the mall to get some concert clothes, to see Stain’d and Disturbed. Again spoiling me. When we arrived at the venue, it was already packed and we headed up to the grassy hill. It was my first real concert and it was fantastically amazing. We danced to our favorite song Sound of Silence by Disturbed it capped off the night.

What would you do with $20,000?

Pay off some of our bills or down payment on a house, as I found a house for us. Its land is absolutely perfect for the veggies and herbs that we want to grow to self sustain our family. And th architecture inside is just amazing. This will be our first house, as we have been together for three years on 8/7/26 and celebrating our first wedding anniversary on October 24th. A house of our own, in the country, will be heaven for us.
