What started as a Tinder match in 2018. After one amazing first date, we didn’t speak for a month. Mario assumed Dominika was out of his league, and Dominika eventually reached out after a terrible date, only to discover Mario was having one too. One phone call lasted until sunrise, and from that moment on we never stopped talking. We quickly became inseparable, moved in together, got engaged, and married in 2023. Sometimes the best love stories start with a second chance.

One of our favorite memories was in Costa Rica. We were taking a shower in an outdoor shower overlooking the ocean when a group of monkeys started swinging through the trees and stealing our belongings. We went from enjoying one of the most beautiful, peaceful moments together to laughing hysterically while trying to figure out what the monkeys had taken. It was one of those perfectly chaotic travel moments that still makes us laugh every time we talk about it.

We’d use half of it to redo our honeymoon. Our dream honeymoon quickly became a food poisoning survival challenge, and thanks to the suite’s all glass bathroom, we got front row seats to each other’s misery. We’d love a second chance to actually enjoy paradise. The other half would go toward feeding and caring for our furry family.
