The short simple answer? Tinder in 2020. It was a two week conversation before Matt felt comfortable meeting. Eventually we met at a Panera Matt had gotten grab and go dinner from before- he knew it to be often empty. We talked for like 3 hours. Matt found excuses to see Dom several times a week for the next month. It culminated with a 4 hour long drive looking at Christmas lights, and a slow dance to “All I’ve Ever Known” from Hadestown, behind a dumpster in a romantic snow flurry.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our proposal: Every fall our friend group goes to an orchard and do autumn activities A friend agreed to bring her camera (a perfectly normal thing for her) to capture the moment. It was a cold wet day, but fun. We were in a corn maze, Dom thought he saw the exit and when it wasn’t Matt asked for a picture. We posed, then Matt got on one knee and proposed. Naturally, the very second thing Dom said was ‘yes!’ The first was “are you really doing this now?”
What would you do with $20,000?We’d throw one hell of a cocktail hour at our wedding reception. Matt’s family is from Long Island, New York, and some of the cocktail hours he’s been to have been WILD. 20,000 dollars would allow us to show Ohio just how swanky a cocktail hour would be. It would honestly allow us to throw the wedding of our dreams even beyond the cocktail hour. So help us out maybe?
